Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP)
In VIP, undergraduate and graduate students participate for course credit or Federal Work-Study in faculty-led, team-based investigations. The program uses a model that has been developed and refined at more than 40 U.S. and international institutions. VIP teams provide a cost-effective and equitable approach to advancing undergraduate research by (1) embedding faculty teaching efforts in active research and (2) using multi-semester student participation to create opportunities for internal advancement and peer-to-peer mentoring. There is much untapped potential in this program for the Arts. New grant program applications due April 5
